The decades-long focus on optimizing the supply chain management to minimize costs, reduce inventories, and increase asset utilization has removed buffers and flexibility to deal with disruptions. COVID-19 impact shows that many corporations are not fully informed about the vulnerability. Their associations in the supply chain still remain undisclosed on the grounds of global disruptions like we are facing at present. However, everything relies on how effectively we flick through this phase, while making supply chain and distribution networks more robust. |
